Angry Birds Games
Angry Birds games are puzzle video games that have been developed by Rovio Mobile, which is a company that is based in Finland. They were first released for Apple’s iOS in December 2009. Since then, more than twelve million copies of the game have been purchased. This prompted the company to create the following versions of this popular game:
- "Angry Birds Halloween" is part of the Angry Birds entertainment network. On October 2010, the game was released. It is exclusive to Apple iOS and is a separate application from the main game. There are new levels that utilize Halloween-themed music and graphics.
- "Angry Birds Seasons" was released in December 2010. It is available for iOS, Android and Symbian devices. There are 25 Christmas-themed levels – one for each day leading up to Christmas. A free Valentine’s Day themed upgrade, entitled “Hogs And Kisses,” was then released in February 2011. The latest releases were in March 2011 when a St. Patrick’s Day upgrade, titled “Go Green, Get Lucky,” was released followed by the release of “Easter Eggs” in April 2011.
- "Angry Birds Rio" was released in March 2011 and is a stand-alone edition that tied into 20th Century Fox’s release of the animated film “Rio.” It is available for the iOS, Android and Mac OS X. The characters in this game are in Rio de Janeiro and they interact with the characters from the movie itself. Initially there were two chapters with 30 levels each. However, level updates are scheduled for May, July, October and November 2011.
- "Angry Birds Magic" is a special version of the game that was developed exclusively for Nokia’s Symbian devices. It includes functionality that unlocks game levels whenever contact is made with another NFC phone that is running this game. This game actually comes preinstalled on these devices which are sold in 2011.
