Skateboard shoes come in a variety of colors and style, but learning to tie a skateboard shoe is an elementary task. Skateboard shoes can be wild in color and style. Skateboard shoes can be mundane or “normal” holding no special flair. No matter the Skateboard, shoes getting down and tying them are all the same. Learning this is not much different than tying any other sneaker. Skateboard shoes provide comfort and some degree of protection for the skateboarder. How to tie skater shoes:

  1. Learning how to tie skater shoes is an uncomplicated task that is an easy learn. First thing is to check that the laces are the same length. Do this by pulling the laces taunt and up. Compare the top of the eyelets with one another.
  2. If the eyelets are not even, re-lace the skateboard shoe and realign the eyelets. When they are of even length pull them tight and out. If you need to place your finger beneath the laces over the skateboard shoe tongue, and pull up to tighten. Pull the laces out and then up to ensure a snug fit.
  3. Next form an ‘x’ and then take the top lace under the bottom lace. Tighten by pulling outward. Next make one lace into a loop and wrap the over lace around it, The through the opening make another lace and pull tight.
  4. Repeat this process for the other shoe. Once done test by walking to check comfort and the strength of the lace are to your liking. You are now ready to hit the pavement.
