Looking for a few things to do in Massachusetts? Massachusetts is located in the northeastern United States. If you are looking for a great spot to vacation, you can check out Massachusetts and its neighboring states, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Of course, it can get rather cold in Massachusetts during the winter, but during the spring and summer you'll be able to walk around this state comfortably.

  1. Outdoor Activities. There are tons of awesome outdoor activities that you can do while you are in Massachusetts. If golfing is your thing, you may want to check out one of the many Cape Cod golf courses, such as Bass River Golf Course and Bayberry Hills Golf Course. Massachusetts is also known for its great fishing on lakes such as Onota Lake, Long Pond and Silver Lake.
  2. State Parks. Massachusetts also has many great state parks to offer you, such as Granville State Park, Erving State Park and Wells State Park. Many of the parks in this great state offer you ocean beaches, hiking trails, campgrounds and much more.
  3. Professional Sports Teams. As you probably know, Massachusetts is a state that is deeply rooted in the history of sports. Depending on what time of the year you are visiting the state, you may be able to check out a Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox or New England Patriots game.
  4. History and Culture. If you are a history buff, Massachusetts is the state for you. You should consider checking out the Salem Witch Museum in Salem, Massachusetts and the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum in Hyannis, Massachusetts. If you are the kind of person that enjoys going to the theater, Massachusetts is known for its rich musical heritage. The Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts and the American Repertory Theatre in Cambrudge, Massachusetts are both great places to visit.
