The top 5 action movies of 2010 were a mixture of old and new, with a couple of sequels, remakes and original ideas too. More than anything though, there were a lot of "Oh My God" moments during the shoot 'em up, blow 'em up, chase 'em and beat 'em down scenes in these 2010 action movies.

1. "Inception". Written and directed by "The Dark Knight's" Christopher Nolan, this top five action movie of 2010 has grossed more than $800-million dollars worldwide. The film's three primary actors are Leonardo Di Caprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page. The movie revolves around a world where technology has the ability to enter people's minds through their dreams. This allows Di Caprio's character (Dom Cobb) to learn rivals' secrets or in this case, plant them. Cobb must take this one last job and be successful, if he ever hopes to get his life back or see his children again.
2. "Iron Man 2". Legendary Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is back again, fighting new villains and trying to protect his company, the government and the country from hostile takeovers. Stark is unwilling to part with his invention(s), therefore causing uproar with certain military personnel working both sides of the law. We are introduced to Mickey Rourke's character, Ivan Vanko, as well as Scarlet Johannsen's dual role as Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow. Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard as Lt. Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes and this go-round, the infamous War Machine is born. Framed for a crime they didn't commit, four American soldiers set out on a journey to prove their innocence, plus take out the people trying to get rid of them. This film costars the lovely Jessica Biel who is dead set on capturing our veteran vigilantes.
